Richard Schirmer
Richard joined Edward Hughes in January 2023 and has over 30 years’ experience specialising in conveyancing.
Richard is originally from South Africa, which has a hybrid legal system including British common law. Richard qualified as a solicitor in South Africa in 1987, moved to the UK in 1999 and was admitted to the roll of solicitors in England and Wales in 2001. Richard has worked all over the North West of England before moving to Anglesey in 2010 where he primarily practiced as a Locum Solicitor.

- Applying to the Land Registry to register restrictions/charges

Richard works closely with clients, estate agents and mortgage providers to ensure that the process is as smooth and efficient as possible. Richard’s easy going nature immediately puts clients at ease and his experience means that client’s benefit from a friendly and efficient service.
Outside of work, Richard is a keen cyclist and enjoys gardening and cooking outdoors, especially Braai, which is a part of his South African heritage and means ‘to grill’ for friends and family.
