Huw Roberts
Huw is a Solicitor within the firm, with over 20 years’ experience specialising in Criminal Law. He is a fluent Welsh speaker able to conduct cases in both English and Welsh.
Having trained under HHJ Niclas Parry, Huw worked as a Criminal specialist in the Mold area for over 10 years before joining the Criminal Team at Edward Hughes in 2013.
Huw is a Duty Solicitor on both the Police Station and Magistrates’ Court rota. Huw has extensive experience in advising and representing clients accused of a wide range of alleged offences, from the initial Police Station interview through to any subsequent Court proceedings, including:
- Murder and manslaughter
- Assault and violent crime
- Sexual offences
- Drug related offences
- Theft
- Fraud
- Controlling and coercive behaviour / Harassment
- Restraint and confiscation
- Motoring and road traffic offences
Huw is skilled in dealing with cases sensitively and effectively in order to best achieve the client’s goals.
Outside of work, Huw enjoys spending time with his family. He is a fan of music and comedy and enjoys attending gigs and festivals.
